NBN Co. is Australia's national wholesale broadband access network. Established in 2009, the mission of the organization is to bridge the digital divide across the nation, ensuring all Australians have access to affordable, fast internet. Funding this mission, though, takes more than just good will.
Fulcrum worked with NBN to develop the right investor narrative
NBN Co's sustainability journey is relatively recent. Prior to our engagement, they had published only one sustainability report and a Modern Slavery Statement. The goal of the organization, however, was to improve how these critical documents could be used to tap into green investment. To get there, Fulcrum helped develop the right investor narrative that highlighted the strong digital engagement work done over a decade of the NBN.
Ultimately, Fulcrum was instrumental in the creation of a broad stakeholder engagement narrative around the launch of a second sustainability report, which garnered extensive print and trade circulation. We also created a targeted investor narrative. This investor narrative played a large part in raising over AUD800 million in green bonds at the beginning of 2022.
