Communicating Impact: Who's Doing it Right in Asia?

November 20, 2017

If you want some ideas on how to communicate your positive impact, look no further than the examples below. These represent some of the leaders in sustainability messaging. Hopefully they inspire and get your mental juices flowing.

Peninsula Hotel Group, Hong Kong

When you think luxury, you think Peninsula. Their immaculate service is hard to beat in the hospitality world, with a reputation to match. The Group is also working towards more sustainable luxury experiences through a thorough strategy and communication mechanism with stakeholders.

One of the world's largest agribusinesses, Wilmar focusses on its impact to local communities where it operates. This is primarily true in South-East Asia where its palm plantations cover wide swaths of the region.

MTR, Hong Kong

Hong Kong's urban mass transit authority, the MTR, partners with leading sustainability consultancy BSR to write their annual report. What sets them apart is their work with London-based advertising firm, Futerra, to make the report truly engaging.

Geraldton Fisherman's Co-Operative, Perth, Australia

The Co-Operative is also a great example of sustainability in messaging. Founded over 70 years ago, Brolos as they are commonly known is certified as one of the world's most sustainable fisheries. Their fishing practices are second to none, and lead the group's messaging. Unfortunately, as of this writing, their website is undergoing a revamp. Google them to find out more.
